What is PPM? ( Planned Preventative Maintenance)
Planned preventative maintenance, commonly referred to as PPMs, is a vital practice in the realm of facilities management. It involves a variety of maintenance activities specifically aimed at averting potential issues and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of your business and assets.
The primary objective of PPMs is to proactively tackle maintenance needs before they evolve into significant problems or unanticipated breakdowns. By instituting a regular service schedule executed by experienced engineers, PPMs seek to maintain everything in optimal working order. The main elements of PPMs include:
Service Visits: PPMs require timely and regular visits from qualified engineers or maintenance personnel. These visits are focused on inspecting, repairing, and replacing components as necessary. By sticking to a planned schedule, potential issues can be detected early and resolved quickly.
Preventing Breakdowns: PPMs help businesses minimize unexpected failures of critical systems or equipment, thereby reducing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency. By routinely checking and maintaining equipment, potential issues can be identified and addressed before they escalate into costly breakdowns.
Comprehensive Maintenance: PPMs involve a range of maintenance tasks, including calibration, testing, cleaning, and adjustments. These proactive measures contribute to extending the lifespan of equipment and decreasing the likelihood of sudden malfunctions. By conducting thorough maintenance, PPMs enhance reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Planned property maintenance is a strategic approach that guarantees the smooth functioning of facilities by implementing preventative maintenance measures. It not only aids in avoiding unexpected breakdowns and minimizing downtime but also enhances equipment lifespan and overall efficiency.

How fast can I expect an engineer to be on-site?
Our helpline is available 24 hours a day, ensuring we can be reached at any time and that all calls are addressed swiftly. This efficiency allows us to react to emergencies and send the appropriate engineer(s) as quickly as possible. We typically allow for a 4-hour response time for emergency calls; however, we have put measures in place to reduce the time from the initial call to the engineer's arrival on site. Response times will, of course, vary depending on the locality.
